CarFest SA rolled through San Antonio April 10–12, and Wild Pony pulled up right alongside the classics, the customs, and the muscle cars. Three days, one booth, a lot of custom hats built on the spot.
What Went Down
We set up the full hat bar — felt bases, straw, wide brims, leather bands, feathers, turquoise, branding iron stamps, the works. Customers picked a base, chose their details, and watched our stylists shape, burn, and distress the whole thing while they browsed the show.
A few moments that stuck with us:
- A father-son duo building matching hats between car walks
- One customer who rolled in on his '67 Camaro and left with a hat that matched his paint job
- The crowd around the booth Saturday afternoon — easily the busiest stretch of the weekend
