A 1929 Landmark, Honoring San Antonio's Westside Story

In 1929, the Basila family built a garment factory at 502 North Zarzamora that became a cornerstone of San Antonio's Westside community. For decades, the building provided work, dignity, and hope — especially for the Latina seamstresses who became the thread holding their families and neighborhoods together.Today, the same building has been transformed into a mixed-use community hub by DreamOn Group and ProsperWest, two organizations dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities. Wild Pony is proud to call Suite #103 home.We honor that same spirit of determination — transforming history into a living space where the past inspires the future.

A hat bar is a hands-on experience where you pick a hat base, choose your accessories — feathers, ribbons, leather bands, charms — and our stylists custom-build your one-of-a-kind cowboy hat right in front of you.

How much does a Wild Pony experience cost?

Do you offer workshops and classes at Basila Frocks?

Do I need a reservation?

Walk-ins are welcome whenever the studio is open, but advance booking is recommended for workshops, classes, and group experiences. Reserve your spot through the calendar or the booking button.

Where exactly is the Basila Frocks location?

Wild Pony is in Suite #103 inside Basila Frocks at 502 North Zarzamora in San Antonio, on the West Side. The historic 1929 building is just minutes from downtown.

Is this different from your La Cantera location?

Yes!! Same Wild Pony craftsmanship, different vibe. La Cantera (inside the Signia by Hilton) is built for hotel guests, corporate teams, and bachelorette groups. Basila Frocks is a community space designed for workshops, classes, locals, and creative gatherings.

What else is in the Basila Frocks building?
